The Characters

Dani loves to dance! Her grandmother, Nana, also known as Ms. Everett, is everyone’s favorite creative arts teacher at Dani’s school. When Dani finds out her grandmother has type 2 diabetes, Dani wants to help. She learns the importance of eating healthy, colorful foods, including lots of fruits and vegetables. TLC (Tomato, Lettuce, and Carrot) is the colorful vegetable trio who introduce Dani to good food.

Max enjoys his video games a lot. He spends most of his time sitting on the couch in front of a screen playing “Sano’s Extreme Street Skate.” After a surprise visit from Sano and some encouragement from his mom, Max discovers that getting away from the screen and playing outside is way more fun than sitting on the couch, and it’s a great way to spend time with family and friends!

Kayla lives for sports and playing outdoors, but her neighborhood isn’t always a safe place for kids to play. Kayla overcomes the challenge of being cooped up indoors. Queen Activité helps Kayla think of safe, cool, active things to do, even inside her home, so she can “take back the power and move for an hour.”

Tino aspires to be a soccer star when he grows up, but at team tryouts, Tino’s energy crashes, and he doesn’t make the team. In a fantasy sequence featuring Soda Can Man and Fakie the Fruit Drink, the water superhero HydroGirl appears to Tino. She reveals that the reason he crashed is all the sugary soda he’s been drinking! When Tino chooses to drink water all day long, he is ready to wow everyone on the soccer field.
